METIS TECHBIO-P (07666) Jumps Over 9% After Joining HKEX AI Index; Platform Monetization Potential Seen as Underpriced

Stock News11-04 14:38

METIS TECHBIO-P (07666) surged more than 9% in afternoon trading, rising 8.67% as of press time to HK$11.16, with turnover of HK$47.3795 million.

On the news front, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange recently launched its first artificial intelligence index. The HKEX AI Index tracks the performance of 40 Hong Kong-listed companies highly related to the AI industry chain, covering five major areas: chip design, data centers, AI infrastructure, AI models, and software and physical applications. Among the first batch of 40 constituent stocks is METIS TECHBIO-P, which belongs to the AI pharmaceutical sector.

As a core player in the global AI nano-delivery track, the company's inclusion in the index is expected to attract passive fund allocations that track the index. In addition, METIS TECHBIO recently announced a partnership with global pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly on the world's largest AI-driven extrahepatic LNP delivery platform collaboration.

Market analysts believe that METIS TECHBIO's first-mover advantage in the AI drug delivery field and its platform monetization potential have not yet been fully priced in. As demand for index fund allocation gradually releases and its self-developed Biological AI key infrastructure NanoForge platform continues to iterate, METIS TECHBIO is expected to be among the first to achieve valuation recovery.
