The 2026 World Intellectual Property Day promotional event for Guizhou Province was recently held in the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone. Zhao Jihong, a member of the leading Party members group and deputy director of the Guizhou Provincial Market Supervision Administration, highlighted that since the start of the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the province has deeply advanced the construction of a strong intellectual property system, continuously deepened reforms and innovations in the intellectual property field, and achieved a series of breakthrough progress in empowering the development of new quality productive forces. In the area of data intellectual property, after successfully passing the national pilot acceptance for data intellectual property, Guizhou was approved as one of the seven pilot provinces in the industrial and information technology sector for data intellectual property, achieving a "dual breakthrough" in pilot construction. To date, the province has completed a total of 2,341 data intellectual property registrations, realized financing exceeding 500 million yuan through pledge financing, and driven the scale of data assets recognized on balance sheets to surpass 67 million yuan, demonstrating significant results in the market-oriented allocation of data elements. Guizhou will continue to strengthen the supportive role of intellectual property in its modern industrial system with local characteristics, focusing on improving the quality and efficiency of the entire chain of intellectual property creation, protection, and utilization in emerging fields, thereby injecting strong momentum into the high-quality economic and social development of the province.
Yu Dalin, deputy secretary of the Party working committee and director of the management committee of the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, stated that the zone has consistently empowered industrial upgrading through intellectual property and led high-quality development with innovation, achieving leapfrog development in intellectual property work and delivering outstanding results in 2025. Using the National Intellectual Property Operation Center for the Aerospace Equipment Industry as a platform, the zone will focus on four key areas: patent navigation, patent pool construction, achievement transfer and transformation, and risk prevention and control, to continuously deepen the construction of the entire intellectual property chain. The event featured numerous highlights, including the release of reports on the effectiveness of intellectual property protection and utilization during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period in Guizhou, a development report on geographical indications work, the 2026 Guizhou Provincial Data Intellectual Property Work Plan, as well as typical cases of foreign-related intellectual property protection, typical cases of data intellectual property registration, and application scenario guidelines. The "Guizhou Province Aerospace Equipment Industry Chain Map" and the "Patent Map" were officially unveiled, and five-star patent achievements from universities were simultaneously released. Attendees witnessed the official launch of the National Intellectual Property Operation Center for the Aerospace Equipment Industry and the simultaneous establishment of the Guizhou Provincial Aerospace Equipment Industry Intellectual Property Innovation Consortium. During the event, the management committee of the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone signed cooperative agreements with the intellectual property offices of Zunyi City and Anshun City, with the three parties committing to jointly build a national highland for intellectual property operation in the aerospace industry.
