Two of Johnson & Johnson's immunology drugs, Tremfya and Icotyde, have recently delivered impressive results, solidifying their role as core pillars of the company's immunology business in the post-Stelara era and laying a solid foundation for surpassing $100 billion in annual revenue in 2026.

In the second quarter of 2026, global sales for Tremfya reached $2.0 billion, a year-over-year increase of 72.5%, significantly exceeding market expectations of $1.74 billion. This monoclonal antibody, which targets the IL-23 p19 subunit, is approved for various indications including plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease. It is viewed by the company as a blockbuster product with the potential to surpass Stelara and achieve peak sales exceeding $10 billion.

Icotyde, which received U.S. FDA approval in March of this year, is the world's first and only oral peptide drug targeting the IL-23 receptor for the treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. This once-daily oral therapy demonstrated durable efficacy and a favorable safety profile in clinical trials, addressing a market gap between injectable biologics and topical treatments. Company executives noted that Icotyde has received an enthusiastic market response since its launch, with thousands of physicians having already prescribed it in a short period.

Driven by the strong performance of these two drugs, Johnson & Johnson's total revenue for the second quarter reached $25.31 billion, a 6.6% increase year-over-year, surpassing market forecasts. The company has concurrently raised its full-year 2026 guidance, projecting annual revenue between $100.8 billion and $101.4 billion. Adjusted earnings per share are now expected to be in the range of $11.60 to $11.75, positioning the company to achieve annual revenue exceeding $100 billion for the first time in its 140-year history.
