On June 11, a working discussion was held between Shaoyang Municipal Party Committee Secretary Cheng Bei and a delegation led by Zhou Zhi, Party Committee Secretary and General Manager of China Unicom's Hunan Branch. The two sides engaged in in-depth exchanges and reached consensus on further advancing practical cooperation.
On behalf of the municipal party committee and government, Cheng Bei welcomed Zhou Zhi and his delegation's visit to Shaoyang and expressed gratitude for Hunan Unicom's long-term support of Shaoyang's economic and social development. She stated that the digital economy is a crucial engine for Shaoyang to build a modern industrial system and a key pathway for accelerating high-quality economic and social development. Currently, Shaoyang is seizing the historic opportunity presented by artificial intelligence development, accelerating forward-looking planning and the development of future industries, promoting deep integration between the real economy and the digital economy, empowering the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and actively fostering new industries, business forms, and models. This aims to build momentum for driving high-quality development, promoting efficient governance, and creating a high-quality life. She expressed hope that both sides would further deepen communication and exchanges, strengthen all-around cooperation in areas such as industrial digital transformation, cultivation of digital talent, and development of the digital industry. This would accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces through the high-quality development of the digital economy, revitalizing this old industrial city with new vitality in the new era.
Zhou Zhi thanked Shaoyang for its strong support of Hunan Unicom's development and introduced the company's technological innovation efforts and business progress in Shaoyang. He stated that Shaoyang possesses a complete industrial system, abundant data resources, and a rich pool of human resources, offering broad prospects for digital economy development. Hunan Unicom will deeply integrate into Shaoyang's overall development strategy, fully leverage the company's technological, talent, and resource advantages, strengthen the construction of new infrastructure such as computing power, enhance the supply and service of digital information products, and expand the application of cutting-edge communication technologies in scenarios such as enterprise transformation and upgrading, the construction of Digital Shaoyang, and digital security governance. This aims to better serve Shaoyang's high-quality development and modernization efforts.
