Saudi Aramco's Facility Comes Under Fresh Attack

Saudi Aramco's oil facility in Jizan has been targeted once again, just a month after a previous assault temporarily halted part of the refinery's output. According to two sources familiar with the matter, the company's petroleum infrastructure was hit on Monday, and an assessment of the resulting damage is currently underway.

Jizan, the industrial city closest to Yemen's border in Saudi Arabia, has frequently been the target of Houthi rebel strikes in the past. Last month, Saudi Aramco's Chief Executive Officer, Amin Nasser, acknowledged that the earlier attack caused a partial interruption in production but stressed that it had no substantial impact on operations or financials. One of the sources indicated that the scale of this latest attack is roughly equivalent to the incident that occurred last month. Saudi Aramco has not yet responded to requests for comments.
