Vanke to Repay 40% of Principal on Maturity, Extend Remaining 60% by One Year

On April 14, the convener, Bank of Communications, issued a notice regarding the resolution for the first bondholders' meeting in 2026 for China Vanke Co., Ltd.'s 2023 first medium-term note (referred to as "23 Vanke MTN001").

The notice indicates that if the resolution is approved, the issuer will repay 40% of the principal of the medium-term note on the maturity date (after deducting any principal already repaid under fixed repayment arrangements, if applicable). The remaining 60% of the principal will be extended by one year, with the new maturity date set for April 23, 2027 (if this falls on a legal holiday or non-business day, it will be postponed to the following business day; no additional interest will accrue during the extension period). If the resolution is approved, the issuer will also pay the due interest of 62.2 million yuan on the maturity date of the note.

The first bondholders' meeting for "23 Vanke MTN001" in 2026 is scheduled to take place on April 17 to facilitate the orderly repayment of principal and interest for the note and to deliberate on matters related to the extension. According to disclosures, the outstanding balance of the "23 Vanke MTN001" bond is 2 billion yuan.
