U.S. Senate Releases New Draft of Crypto Market Structure Bill

U.S. Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott recently released a new draft of the Senate's crypto market structure bill ahead of a related hearing later this week.

The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, which was approved by the House of Representatives in July, provides "for a system of regulation of the offer and sale of digital commodities by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, to amend the Federal Reserve Act to prohibit the Federal reserve banks from offering certain products or services directly to an individual, to prohibit the use of central bank digital currency for monetary policy, and for other purposes," the updated bill said.

Bitmine Stakes Additional 92,160 ETH, Totaling $4.77 Billion

Bitmine has further staked 92,160 ETH, valued at $293.27 million. To date, the company has staked a total of 1,436,384 ETH, amounting to a total value of $4.77 billion.

Digital Asset Acquisition (DAAQ) announced on Tuesday a business combination with the online banking platform Old Glory Bank to create OGB Financial.

Old Glory Bank's pre-money valuation will be $250M.

The Princeton-based special purpose acquisition company said the Texas corporation will be listed on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol OGB.

Bitcoin Spot ETF Flow

The overall net inflow of the US Bitcoin spot ETF on Tuesday was $753.73 million. The total net asset value of Bitcoin spot ETFs is $123 billion, and the ETF net asset ratio (market value compared to total Bitcoin market value) is 6.52%.

The Bitcoin spot ETF with the highest net inflow on Jan. 13 was Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund, with a net inflow of $351.36 million. Followed by Bitwise Bitcoin ETF, with a net inflow of 159.42 million, according to SoSoValue.
