Ministry of Commerce Strongly Opposes EU's Intensive Investigations Against Chinese Companies

At a regular press conference on December 18, He Yadong, spokesperson for China's Ministry of Commerce, stated that China has noted the European Commission's recent intensive investigations against Chinese enterprises under the Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR). These actions include in-depth probes into CRRC Corporation and Nuctech, as well as surprise on-site inspections targeting Chinese digital platforms. The measures are deemed aggressive, highly targeted, and discriminatory.

China strongly opposes these actions and urges the EU to immediately cease unreasonable suppression against foreign-invested enterprises, including those from China. The Ministry of Commerce called for prudent use of FSR investigation tools and emphasized the need to foster a fair, just, and predictable business environment for companies operating in Europe.

China will closely monitor the EU's moves and take necessary measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.
