Levi Strauss & Co (LEVI.US) Partners with Microsoft (MSFT) to Accelerate AI-Driven DTC Transformation

Stock News11-18

Levi Strauss & Co (LEVI.US) aims to transform into a direct-to-consumer (DTC) retailer through a strategic collaboration with Microsoft (MSFT.US), enhancing global consumer experiences with faster, smarter, and more personalized interactions while boosting employee productivity.

The apparel giant plans to leverage Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and AI agent orchestration technologies to accelerate its shift toward a fan-centric, excellence-driven, and DTC-focused business model.

A key implementation includes a new Azure-native orchestration agent embedded in Microsoft Teams, designed to streamline operations and empower employees across corporate, retail, and warehouse environments. This agent acts as a centralized portal where staff can pose queries, with responses generated by multiple backend AI agents—all filtered through a conversational super-agent interface.

As part of its broader digital transformation, Levi Strauss is migrating application workloads from on-premises data centers to Microsoft Azure. The company utilized Azure Migrate and GitHub Copilot to plan and execute the cloud consolidation before integrating its private data center environment.

Additionally, Levi Strauss is deploying Azure AI Foundry and Semantic Kernel to develop intelligent automation capabilities.
