Ping An Securities noted that the geopolitical standoff in the Middle East is unlikely to be resolved in the short term, with risks of significant escalation in both the U.S.-Iran and Yemen situations, deteriorating security in the Strait of Hormuz, and a rising probability of a new round of U.S. military strikes against Iran. Meanwhile, the Yemen situation is escalating in a spiral, with Houthi forces continuing to launch attacks on airports and oil facilities inside Saudi Arabia, significantly affecting Saudi Arabia's crude oil exports and refining operations. In summary, geopolitical risks continue to provide strong support for international oil prices.

Looking ahead, Guosen Securities stated that amid turbulent geopolitical conditions in the Middle East, blocked shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, combined with the suspension of Caspian Sea crude oil pipelines, global crude oil supply stability has contracted significantly; low inventory levels amplify price elasticity. In a high oil price environment, upstream oil and gas companies have ample profit elasticity, and coal-to-olefins producers with low-cost advantages as well as overseas integrated refining and chemical enterprises may benefit significantly.
