Yunnan Baiyao Group's Toothpaste Smart Factory Recognized as 2025 Yunnan Province Advanced Intelligent Factory

Recently, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, in conjunction with relevant provincial departments, announced the 2025 Advanced Intelligent Factory certification results. Yunnan Baiyao Group Co.,Ltd.'s toothpaste smart factory was successfully selected, becoming one of 14 enterprises in the province to receive this honor.

As an exemplary model of a century-old brand implementing Industry 4.0 practices, Yunnan Baiyao Group's toothpaste smart factory integrates advanced concepts, technologies, and equipment, achieving an automation level of over 90% and a production process data automatic collection rate of 98%. The factory has built core information systems including MES, WMS, LIMS, barcode systems, automated control systems DCS and WCS. Relying on a "digital nervous system" constructed by thousands of sensors distributed across various processes, it connects the entire workflow from material transportation, paste production, to filling, achieving real-time data collection and quality control, and establishing a globally leading intelligent manufacturing system.

The factory has innovatively developed a fully enclosed automated "one-step paste making method" that eliminates contamination risks and significantly improves paste stability and quality. It applies online near-infrared spectroscopy technology for real-time monitoring of production indicators. Through the breakthrough application of online near-infrared spectroscopy detection technology, the detection time for toothpaste active ingredients has been compressed from 710 minutes to 2 minutes, improving detection efficiency by 355 times and driving the transformation of quality inspection from "batch sampling" to "real-time intelligent control."

Yunnan Baiyao toothpaste has maintained the top domestic market share for consecutive years. Its smart factory practice has validated the feasibility of AI implementation in complex manufacturing scenarios, setting a benchmark for the modernization transformation of the traditional Chinese medicine industry.
