On the evening of August 27, TYK MEDICINES-B announced that its independently developed next-generation EGFR-TKI innovative drug, Mesuxitinib Tablets (TY-9591), had received conditional market approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). The approval covers the first-line treatment of adult patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who harbor epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) exon 19 deletions (19DEL) or exon 21 (L858R) substitution mutations, accompanied by central nervous system (CNS) metastases.
Mesuxitinib Tablets represent a next-generation, highly selective, and irreversible oral EGFR-TKI developed independently by TYK MEDICINES-B, positioned as a differentiated deuterated innovation of osimertinib. Through unique structural optimization, the drug effectively reduces the generation of toxic metabolites and demonstrates superior pharmacokinetic characteristics, showing outstanding clinical efficacy and safety advantages in patient populations with lung cancer brain metastases and EGFR L858R sensitive mutations. The company has already initiated multiple clinical studies covering the product as monotherapy and in combination regimens, comprehensively addressing various segment indications in advanced NSCLC.
