Cathay Pacific Airways cancels 643.08 million treasury shares; issued share capital reduced to 6.08 billion

Bulletin Express03-26

Cathay Pacific Airways Limited (Cathay Pacific) disclosed that on 26 March 2026 it cancelled its entire holding of 643.08 million treasury shares.

Prior to the cancellation, as at 28 February 2026 the carrier had 6.08 billion issued shares outstanding and 643.08 million shares held in treasury, giving a total issued share capital of 6.72 billion shares.

Following the cancellation, the treasury share balance fell to zero and total issued shares now stand at 6.08 billion, unchanged in terms of shares outstanding but 9.57 % lower than the previous total issued share count.

The adjustment has no impact on the number of shares in public hands but streamlines the company’s capital structure by permanently eliminating the treasury shares from its register. Joanna Lai, Company Secretary, submitted the filing.
