Deep News05-13

JinkoSolar announced on Tuesday that it has formally entered into a strategic supply agreement with UAE clean energy giant Masdar for 2GW of high-efficiency PV modules. The company will supply its high-performance Tiger Neo series modules for the flagship Round-The-Clock (RTC) project in Abu Dhabi.

Project Scale: World's First Gigawatt-Scale "PV + Storage" 24/7 Project The RTC project is jointly developed by Masdar and the Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC). It represents the world's first and currently largest renewable energy project deeply integrating solar power with energy storage. The project plans to construct a 5.2GW photovoltaic power station, paired with a 19GWh battery energy storage system. Upon completion, it will deliver 1GW of continuous, round-the-clock clean baseload power supply.

The total investment for this project exceeds 22 billion dirhams, with commercial operation expected to commence in 2027. It is projected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 5.7 million tons annually and create over 10,000 jobs. The project will incorporate technologies such as virtual power plants, grid networking, black start capabilities, and AI-powered intelligent generation dispatch. It is specifically designed to meet the high-stability, long-duration, uninterrupted power demands of AI data centers.
