Shanghai Huafon Aluminium Corporation (601702.SH) has announced plans to invest in the construction of a new project with an annual production capacity of 550,000 tons of high-end aluminum sheet, strip, and foil. The project will be located in the Baitao Industrial Park, Fuling District, Chongqing. The total investment is estimated not to exceed 3 billion yuan, covering an area of approximately 600 mu. A wholly-owned subsidiary of the company will serve as the construction entity for the project, which will involve establishing continuous rolling production lines for aluminum sheet, strip, and foil. The primary products will include high-end aluminum sheet, strip, and foil, encompassing medium-thick plates and can stock. The construction period is expected to be around 36 months. This initiative aligns with national industrial policy directions and the company's long-term development strategy. Upon completion, the project is set to significantly increase the company's production capacity in the field of aluminum heat transfer materials. It will not only help consolidate the company's leading market position in thermal management for both traditional and new energy vehicles but also facilitate its entry into emerging heat dissipation markets such as energy storage, data centers, and air conditioning. This will further optimize the company's product mix, diversify profit growth avenues, and enhance its resilience against industry cyclical fluctuations.
