On the afternoon of February 2nd, New Oriental founder Yu Minhong announced via a social media post that Chen Xingjia has officially reported for duty at New Oriental, captioning the post, "Teacher Chen Xingjia has come to New Oriental to report for work!"

Previously, Yu Minhong had issued a notice stating that New Oriental Education & Technology Group has appointed Teacher Chen Xingja as the General Advisor for New Oriental Education, Dongfang Zhenxuan, and New Oriental Cultural Tourism, with an annual salary of 1.5 million RMB.

The notice further indicated, "Concurrently, Teacher Yu Minhong will join Teacher Chen Xingjia's Henghui Foundation to jointly strive for the health and growth of Chinese youth! New Oriental Education & Technology Group will donate no less than 1 million RMB annually to the Henghui Foundation! Let us work together for a better world!"

According to public reports, Chen Xingjia, born in 1971, progressed from a remote and impoverished mountain village to gain admission to university. In 1992, he was assigned to work at the Ranhua Bureau in Xingshan County, marking the beginning of his political career. By 2001, having already served as the Mayor of Shuiyuesi Town in Xingshan County, Chen Xingjia was admitted to the inaugural Master of Public Administration program at Tsinghua University. After completing his master's degree, he returned to work at the grassroots level in Hubei, holding positions including Standing Committee Member of the Xingshan County Committee, Deputy Secretary-General of the Yichang Municipal Government, and Mayor of Yidu City. In October 2011, he was transferred to the deeply impoverished county of Badong, where he served as the County Party Committee Secretary. In 2015, Chen Xingjia was recognized as a "National Outstanding County Party Committee Secretary." At the end of 2016, after his term ended and despite being eligible for a promotion, Chen Xingjia resigned from his public position. The following year, he founded the public welfare organization Shenzhen Henghui Children's Foundation, focusing primarily on critical illness assistance and educational care for children.
