4 Months to Grow 3 Centimeters? Unmasking the "Height Growth Miracle Drug" Xiao Lu Chong Chong

Deep News01-28

Numerous "GroupCare Ge Rui Ka Xiao Lu Chong Chong Lysine Growth Hormone" products sold on e-commerce platforms claim to be imported from New Zealand, promising children a height increase of at least 3 centimeters after just one treatment cycle of four months! A recent investigation discovered that while these products are shipped from bonded warehouses, the New Zealand-based company behind them has been deregistered, the product itself is unregistered, and its certificate of origin is a forgery.

The shop owner asserted the product is an original import from New Zealand, available for sale on major e-commerce platforms including Tmall, JD.com, Pinduoduo, and Xiaohongshu, with single-item sales exceeding 70,000 units, making it a viral网红 product on social media platforms.

Reporters purchased one bottle each from Tmall and JD.com to investigate the tricks behind this health supplement's transformation into a "height growth miracle drug." Tracing information showed both products were shipped from bonded warehouses and came with complete customs declaration forms.

The product packaging features an all-English label, listing the manufacturer as New Zealand's Simpson Family Limited, with a corresponding business address also in New Zealand. However, reporters noted that the product's promotional page on the official flagship store displayed a completely different address.
