As of 5 PM, COMEX gold hit a low of $4108.2 per ounce, marking its maximum decline at 2.25%.
London spot gold once broke below the $4100 mark, reaching a low of $4090.5 per ounce, with its largest drop at 2.16%.
Compared to its annual high of $5598.75 per ounce, London spot gold has fallen by nearly 27%.
Influenced by the volatility in international gold prices, the Shanghai gold price dropped below 900 yuan per gram, declining by over 2%.
