Midea Group Jumps Over 4% After Earnings as Revenue and Net Profit Both Rise in First Three Quarters

Deep News10-30

Midea Group (00300) opened more than 4% higher after releasing its results, and as of the time of writing, its share price was up 4.17% at HK$97.40, with turnover of HK$181.1 million.

On October 29, Midea Group published its 2026 third-quarter report, showing total operating revenue of RMB 369.1 billion for the first three quarters and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 41.4 billion, up 9.3% year on year, achieving growth in both revenue and net profit against the broader market trend. In the third quarter alone, net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 14.9 billion, up more than 25% year on year.

In addition, Midea has completed RMB 13.3 billion of share buybacks this year, and cumulative buyback spending since its overall listing has exceeded RMB 52 billion, making it the "buyback king" in A-share history. Some capital market observers believe that Midea's RMB 10 billion-level fully cancelled buyback this year, combined with its record of returning 100% of profit through "dividends plus buybacks" totaling RMB 44 billion for the full year of 2025, has fundamentally rebuilt the long-term certainty of shareholder returns and made it a benchmark case for shareholder returns among industrial companies.

At the same time, Midea's accelerated transformation into an AI plus industrial technology group has also upgraded it in the allocation lists of global institutional investors from a single "home appliance target" to a core baseline asset that combines stable return attributes with potential growth attributes.
