Prosus Reports Higher Revenue, Boosted by Diverse Operations and Tencent Growth

Deep News06-19

Tech investor Prosus NV has announced an increase in its fiscal 2026 revenue, driven by growth across its portfolio of businesses and its investment in the Chinese tech giant Tencent.

The Amsterdam-listed investment firm stated on Friday that for the financial year ending March 31, its revenue exceeded $7.3 billion. Its Ecosystem segment, previously known as E-commerce, reported an adjusted EBITDA of $1.1 billion.

This compares to revenue of $6.2 billion recorded by Prosus in the 2025 fiscal year.

For continuing operations, the company anticipates that one of its preferred metrics, "core headline earnings," will increase by 19% to 28%. Prosus further noted that it expects overall headline earnings to grow between 6.7% and 15.7%. The company attributed these projected gains to robust revenue growth and profitability across its various businesses, with Tencent highlighted as a particularly strong contributor.

In contrast, earnings per ordinary share are forecasted to range between a 2.6% decline and a 6.4% increase. This range partly reflects a decrease in gains from the sale of Tencent shares due to a lower number of shares sold during the period, coupled with an increase in unrealized foreign exchange losses.

The company is scheduled to release its full fiscal 2026 results on June 29.
