Hong Kong Stock Movement: Xizhi Technology-P Surges Over 6% on Report of New Edge Computing Product Launch at AI Conference

Stock News07-15

XIZHI TECH-P (01879) shares rose more than 6%, with the stock up 4.79% to HK$315.2 at the time of writing, generating a turnover of HK$45.5865 million.

On the news front, according to market media reports, the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference is scheduled to take place in Shanghai from July 17 to July 20.

The company is set to unveil the world's first integrated edge computing box based on optoelectronic hybrid computing chips, named Tian Shu-Guang Li Fang, at the conference.

This product integrates an optical computing chip, CPU, memory, active cooling, and a full-interface system, enabling deployment that works immediately out of the box.

Currently, this product has already achieved commercial application in real-world, high-frequency civilian scenarios globally, supporting AI tasks such as facial recognition.

Analysis from Shenwan Hongyuan indicates that the market may not fully appreciate the distinction between Xizhi and optical module manufacturers.

XIZHI TECH-P is a light-asset chip design company, not a heavy-asset module assembly manufacturer.

The company focuses on underlying optoelectronic chip R&D, original solution design, core IP, and a full-stack patent portfolio, operating under a light-asset model.

In contrast, optical module manufacturers like InnoLight primarily engage in device integration and scaled manufacturing, which constitutes a heavy-asset model.

The company holds a cumulative total of 410 patents, with over 50% adaptable for both optical interconnect and optical computing applications.

Its core patents cover three key technologies: oMAC, oNOC, and oNET, making it the startup with the largest patent portfolio in the global optoelectronic hybrid computing field.

As the only independent supplier within the region to achieve large-scale commercialization, the company possesses significant scarcity value.
