AIRO Group Unveils Next-Generation Long-Range Drone System, Set for Paris Defense Expo in June

Deep News05-11

AIRO Group Holdings, Inc. has announced the official launch of its new long-range unmanned aircraft system (UAS), the RQ-70 Dainn. This drone is specifically designed for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), and targeting missions. It is scheduled for its first public debut at the Eurosatory international defense exhibition in Paris, France, from June 15 to 19 this year.

The RQ-70 Dainn represents an upgraded version developed from AIRO's Sky-Watch RQ-35 platform, incorporating over four years of operational feedback. In response to the increasingly complex mission requirements of modern battlefield environments, the RQ-70 demonstrates significant improvements in endurance, operational range, and multi-domain operational capabilities. Its core technical specifications include extended endurance and long-range operations, flexible deployment capabilities, a high-resilience architecture, and digital integration.

AIRO Group emphasized that the rapid evolution of modern warfare is challenging the limitations of traditional defense systems, creating an urgent battlefield need for systems that can respond quickly and possess sustained adaptability. The design core of the RQ-70 Dainn lies in its AI-driven integrated architecture. By treating the aircraft as a node within an overall network, it aims to enhance information transmission and processing efficiency, shortening the cycle from target detection to decision support.

John Uczekaj, Chief Operating Officer of AIRO Group, stated that the development of the RQ-70 was not based on assumptions but stemmed from direct feedback and operational insights from frontline operators. He noted that production of the system will be shared between the company's facilities in Denmark and the United States. This parallel production model is intended to ensure delivery speed and supply chain resilience, meeting the urgent demand for highly reliable equipment in the current operational environment.
