Thousands of Acres of Broccoli Harvested in Rongjiang, High-Quality Agricultural Products Exported Overseas

Deep News12-10

Recently, thousands of acres of broccoli in Chejiang Dam Area, Rongjiang County, have welcomed a bountiful harvest. At the base, mature broccoli heads are plump and firm, with farmers systematically harvesting and loading them onto trucks. The products will be sold to domestic markets such as Chengdu and Chongqing, as well as international markets including Vietnam and Thailand.

In recent years, Rongjiang has leveraged the superior climate and soil conditions of the dam area to actively promote the large-scale and standardized development of the agricultural industry. With the demonstration and guidance of local enterprises, the broccoli planting area has expanded from 400 acres in trial planting last year to 1,000 acres this year. The total output is expected to reach approximately 1,300 tons, with a total production value exceeding 10 million yuan.

The development of this industry has also created employment opportunities for surrounding communities in planting, maintenance, and harvesting, effectively boosting local incomes. In the next phase, Rongjiang County will continue to improve the industrial chain, strengthen technical guidance and market connectivity, and promote the sustainable development of specialty agriculture to solidify the industrial foundation for rural revitalization.
