Palantir Technologies Inc. and Surf Air Mobility Inc. announced on Monday an expansion of their partnership, committing additional engineering and marketing resources to accelerate the commercial deployment of their Enterprise solutions, including OperatorOS, OwnerOS, and SurfOS.
This builds on their prior successful launch of BrokerOS and a multi-million-dollar contract signed with on-demand private aviation service provider Wheels Up, making it the inaugural client for Enterprise BrokerOS.
Powered by Palantir's AIP and Foundry platforms, SurfOS is designed to deliver modern software solutions to the private aviation and air mobility sector, an industry historically reliant on manual processes and fragmented legacy software systems. The platform offers aircraft operators, brokers, owners, and manufacturers tools for operational management, efficiency enhancement, and cost control.
Under the enhanced agreement, the companies will dedicate specialized resources to speed up product development and commercial expansion. Leveraging Palantir's expertise in highly fragmented industries, the partnership will provide go-to-market support, accelerate the development of product features including AIP agent deployments, and advance SurfOS as the core operating system for the next generation of private aviation and air mobility.
Ted Mabrey, Head of Global Commercial Business at Palantir, stated that private aviation and air mobility represent a vast and growing market that has long depended on fragmented systems and manual workflows. SurfOS, powered by Foundry and AIP, has the potential to build the core operating system for the future of aviation. Liam Fayed, Co-Founder of Surf Air Mobility, noted that the expanded collaboration with Palantir will enable faster deployment of SurfOS to end markets. BrokerOS has already demonstrated the capability of the partnership, and the additional technical and commercial support will help accelerate this success.
Surf Air Mobility's software products target various segments within the private aviation and air mobility market, including charter transport, private jet sales, and the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) aftermarket. The company believes SurfOS, by leveraging Palantir's Foundry and AIP platforms to optimize supply and demand, can create value across these interconnected markets.
Headquartered in Los Angeles, Surf Air Mobility is an air mobility platform company that provides technology via its AI-driven SurfOS software to support the modernization of aviation operations. The company is currently one of the largest scheduled commuter airlines in the United States by flight frequency and also offers private charter services.
