SK Hynix plans to restart construction of Phase II at its Dalian NAND flash plant, increasing China NAND capacity by roughly 50%.

The project, halted four years ago amid a weak memory cycle, is being reactivated; the company plans to complete semiconductor equipment imports this year and to begin production in 1H next year.

SK Hynix cited surging enterprise SSD demand from AI data center adoption and a near tenfold rise in NAND prices over the past year.
