In order to strengthen its tropical distinctive and high-efficiency agriculture and deeply cultivate the northern consumer market, from October 10 to 12, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hainan Province coordinated and organized a Hainan delegation, bringing over 50 tropical distinctive agricultural products such as tropical fruit drinks, specialty agricultural and sideline processed goods, and fermented rice vinegar hot pot base, to appear at the 2026 Shandong (International) Agricultural Trade Fair.
This event concentrated on showcasing the achievements of tropical agriculture development in the Hainan Free Trade Port and built a platform for agricultural economic and trade exchange, as well as production and sales matchmaking cooperation between Hainan and Shandong.
The Shandong (International) Agricultural Trade Fair is an influential agricultural event in the northern region and serves as an important window for Hainan to connect with the northern market and deepen agricultural industry collaboration between Hainan and Shandong.
The Hainan Pavilion exhibition area closely follows the positioning of the "Hainan Fresh Products" provincial public brand and is divided into three functional sections: a product display area, an on-site tasting area, and a business negotiation area.
Thirteen agricultural operating entities from within the province collectively exhibited categories including tropical fruits, livestock and poultry products, aquatic products, tea and coffee beverages, and specialty condiments. Seasonal fresh fruits, deeply processed products, and specialty flavored foods were neatly displayed, presenting a three-dimensional view of Hainan's tropical distinctive agricultural industry.
The exhibition site simultaneously launched free tasting and check-in gift activities. Visiting merchants, citizens, and tourists could taste authentic Hainan flavors and immersively experience Hainan's specialty agricultural products.
In addition to product display and on-site tasting, the Hainan delegation made production and sales matchmaking and project signing a core task of participation. Relying on the abundant purchaser resources of the Shandong Agricultural Trade Fair, it organized Hainan exhibitors to engage in face-to-face exchanges with local Shandong supermarkets, agricultural product wholesale markets, distributors, and catering purchasers, negotiating supply cooperation based on the consumption characteristics of the northern market and promoting the landing of Hainan's premium agricultural products in Shandong and northern market channels.
A responsible person from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hainan Province stated that organizing enterprises to participate in the Shandong (International) Agricultural Trade Fair is a pragmatic action for Hainan to leverage its Free Trade Port resource endowments, solidly do a good job in the "local specialties" article, and advance the revitalization of rural industries.
