He Gang pointed out that in the soon-to-pass 2026, economic development showed a K-shaped divergence, but Chinese enterprises and entrepreneurs still forged many bright paths through their resilience, perseverance, and hard work.

He stated that we must give a big thumbs-up to Chinese enterprises and the Chinese economy. Those who break through first, those who lead first, and those who persist continuously are the true backbone of the Chinese economy. Seeing them, we can maintain full confidence in the Chinese economy.

The following is the full text of the speech:

Respected leaders and guests, good afternoon everyone! I am very honored to be part of the expert panel and share some of my thoughts. First of all, I want to pay tribute to Sina Finance. For so many years, they have persisted in holding this event to cheer for the Chinese economy and Chinese entrepreneurs. It is an annual grand ceremony that promotes the positive energy of the Chinese economy, tells the story of the Chinese economy well, and continuously highlights the entrepreneurial spirit. Persisting for so many years is not easy, so this event itself is a responsibility and commitment of the media, and also our common wealth.

In the soon-to-pass 2026, we know it has been very tough. The world is very unstable, China also faces many difficulties, and economic development shows a K-shaped divergence. But Chinese enterprises and entrepreneurs still forged many bright paths through their resilience, perseverance, and hard work.

First, we must applaud the breakthroughs in technological innovation by Chinese enterprises. Although compared with the world's number one tech power, we still have many difficulties and shortcomings, in many areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, storage, new energy, and new materials, Chinese enterprises are rapidly narrowing the gap, and some world-class giants are gradually emerging. China's A-share market has many unsatisfactory aspects, but some world-class emerging tech giants have finally listed on the A-share market. The top players in the A-share market are no longer just liquor and banks, and tech companies are beginning to emerge. This momentum represents a historic transformation for the A-share market, and it is inseparable from the tremendous courage and strength in technological innovation of Chinese enterprises and entrepreneurs who dare to fight and strive.

Second, Chinese enterprises are taking the lead globally in demonstrating green innovation development. China's exports used to be clothing, footwear, and shirts, then machinery. In the past two years, we talked about the so-called "new three items" in China's exports. This year, we are seeing the "new four items." First is integrated circuits, with a 90% year-on-year growth, then new energy vehicles with 70% year-on-year growth, and the rest are photovoltaics and wind power. Among the new four items, three are directly related to green and energy-saving transformation. Some people say that China's new energy industry, especially photovoltaics, would still be in global oversupply even if two-thirds of capacity were shut down. This is the result of China's strength in full industrial chain development. It may involve intense internal competition and price wars, but globally it is a rigid demand. After the U.S. midterm elections, we saw that AI hardware encountered huge difficulties across the board. Last night, the U.S. almost experienced a stock market crash, but photovoltaics and wind power are forming new strong demand, and this demand comes from Chinese enterprises and entrepreneurs who have been striving for green innovation transformation.

Third, what deserves even more applause for our enterprises and entrepreneurs is that in the face of complex transitions between old and new growth drivers and K-shaped economic divergence, they have maintained resilience for sustained growth. This resilience comes from persistence in their own industries, from efficiency improvements, and from proactive investment in transformation and upgrading. In this process, as Mr. Wei mentioned in his speech just now, the pain and hardship during the investment period belong to the enterprises, the economy, the country, and also to every individual involved. Some people lost their jobs, some transformed, and some lost many new positions, but the resilience of China's economic development is well demonstrated and sustained through this. So at the turn of the year, we must give a big thumbs-up to Chinese enterprises and the Chinese economy. Those who break through first, those who lead first, and those who persist continuously are the true backbone of the Chinese economy. Seeing them, we can maintain full confidence in the Chinese economy. We look forward to cheering for the Chinese economy and for entrepreneurs. May China's "Entrepreneurs' Night" continue to shine brightly, encouraging the economy, enterprises, and entrepreneurs at the turn of each year. Thank you everyone!

"Cheering for the Chinese Economy - Entrepreneurs' Night" is themed "Saluting the Driving Force of the New Era." Based on five dimensions—innovation, disruptiveness, foresight, growth, and sustainability—it deeply reviews the development trajectory of China's economy and industries in the past year, uncovers the power of outstanding entrepreneurial role models, and promotes the entrepreneurial spirit of the new era that upholds industry, dares to innovate, and takes responsibility. Each year's ceremony combines netizen votes and expert recommendations to ultimately invite ten entrepreneurs who performed excellently that year to share their entrepreneurial journeys and exchange innovative ideas.
