Market Focus07-27

On July 27, LOPAL TECH rose 8.65% in regular trading, trading at HKD 10.41/share, with turnover of HKD 110 million. The surge was driven by stronger-than-expected lithium battery production scheduling data for August and a price hike announcement from a major LFP cathode material producer.

According to an industry research institute survey of 37 mainstream battery companies and supply chain participants, China's lithium battery market is expected to schedule approximately 304 GWh of production in August, representing a 7.4% month-over-month increase. Global power, energy storage, and consumer battery output is projected at approximately 317 GWh, up 7.1% MoM. The August scheduling data exceeded the institute's early July forecast range of 3%-5%. Additionally, leading LFP cathode manufacturer Hunan Yuneng announced plans to uniformly raise processing fees across its full range of LFP products by RMB 2,000/ton effective August 1.

LOPAL TECH is primarily engaged in the R&D, production, and sales of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode materials and automotive environmental fine chemicals. Its A-share counterpart hit the daily limit up on the same day, as the LFP concept sector gained 4.22%.
