On October 31, First Trust NASDAQ Cybersecurity ETF fell 5.01% in Regular Trading, trading at $99.74, with turnover of $194 million.
The move was linked to sharp weakness across cybersecurity stocks after Fortinet’s latest quarterly results triggered a broad sector selloff.
Fortinet reported third-quarter revenue and earnings above expectations, but investors focused on softer services performance and reduced fiscal 2026 services guidance. Services revenue was $1.31 billion, below the $1.33 billion market estimate, and the company cut its 2026 services revenue outlook to $5.15 billion-$5.17 billion. Fortinet shares were reported down more than 25% at one point, pressuring peers and dragging the ETF lower.
The fund will normally invest at least 90% of its net assets (including investment borrowings) in the common stocks and depositary receipts that comprise the index. The index includes securities of companies classified as cyber security companies by CTA. The fund is non-diversified.
