CHINA LIT (00772) surged over 4%, reaching HK$33.84 by the time of writing, with a trading volume of HK$229 million. On December 11, the company announced its 2025 short drama performance report via its official social media. The report revealed that CHINA LIT produced over 120 short dramas in 2025, demonstrating substantial capacity growth. Hits such as *Sweet Wife with a Baby*, *The Scheming Maid*, and *Wild at Heart* received "blockbuster" recognition on leading platforms, with strong performance across modern romance, historical, period, and male-oriented genres.

Additionally, CHINA LIT disclosed that multiple short dramas adapted from its IPs are set for release soon, including *I Really Didn’t Want to Reincarnate*, *Shine Bright for You*, *My Wife is Acting Strange Again 2*, and *The Excellent Servant*.

According to Huajin Securities, data from iMedia Research indicates China’s short drama market will reach RMB67.79 billion in 2025, up 34.40% year-on-year, with projections exceeding RMB150 billion by 2030. While fast-paced dramas once dominated the market, diversified and innovative themes are now emerging, with branded IP adaptations becoming mainstream. From January to August 2025, short video platforms launched 233 branded short dramas, featuring 87 new brands, with a repeat investment rate exceeding 60%, reflecting notable growth compared to the previous year.
