Guangdong Songfa Ceramics Co.,Ltd. (603268.SH) announced that its subsidiary, Hengli Shipbuilding (Dalian) Co., Ltd., recently signed contracts for the construction of two vessels, with a total contract value of approximately $200-300 million.
The contracted vessels are 306,000-ton Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs), which represent a mainstream international large crude oil transport model. These VLCCs feature high loading capacity, long endurance, and operational efficiency.
The vessel design balances route adaptability and loading flexibility, enabling efficient compatibility with loading and unloading equipment at major global crude oil ports. They are capable of meeting long-distance transoceanic crude oil trunk transportation needs as well as large-scale transport demands from oil fields to refineries.
These VLCCs align with the latest international tanker design concepts and cater to the current global shipping market's demand for large-scale, low-carbon crude oil transportation.
