Backpack and CircuitAI Merge to Bring Tokenized Stocks to Solana Through Natural Language Commands

Stock News10-27

Backpack and CircuitAI have completed a system integration that brings Solana-based tokenized stocks into the realm of automated portfolio management, according to Woofun AI. This technical breakthrough allows traditional securities to be allocated through algorithm-driven smart tools, marking an attempt to connect tokenized stocks with automated strategy instruments.

The core of this integration lies in the complementary nature of the technical architecture and the reshaping of the user experience. The 1:1 minting and redemption mechanism is provided by Backpack Securities, allowing users on Backpack Exchange to convert tokens back into corresponding traditional stocks at a 1:1 ratio. Withdrawals to Solana incur a platform fee of approximately US$0.50, denominated in tokenized securities, while deposits back are free of charge. Redemption can currently only be completed within Backpack and does not yet support transfers to other brokerages.

On the operational level, users need only set their investment strategy using natural language, and the computational agent will automatically handle fund allocation, asset inclusion, and periodic rebalancing, all without manual intervention. This model, which combines traditional stock investing with autonomous computational tools, reflects growing market interest in programmable financial services.

It is worth noting that although the front-end interaction is highly decentralized, the back-end custody and settlement processes are still handled by verified accounts within Backpack's centralized exchange, while the Solana network is specifically responsible for processing token transfers between decentralized protocols. This hybrid architecture preserves the compliance of traditional finance while leveraging the efficiency advantages of blockchain, helping to lower the entry barrier for retail investors and enabling them to continuously access stock market securities from a decentralized environment.

This product integration is not an isolated event but is closely tied to the global regulatory wave pushing for the standardization of distributed ledger technology financial instruments. Data compiled by Woofun AI shows that as of late October 2026, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had received notices from three companies intending to operate tokenized securities trading platforms under the innovation exemption framework. Specifically, TSV LLC filed on September 23, planning to operate on the Canton Network; OKXICE TSV filed on October 4, planning to operate on OKX's X Layer; and Kephas Corporation (operating under the name Perpetuals.com) filed on October 14, planning to operate on the EVM-compatible Layer 2 network Kronos X Public. Under the rules, trading venues must publish notice at least 30 days before commencing operations, and the SEC has made clear that inclusion on the list does not mean the relevant companies have met the exemption conditions. However, Kephas has not yet disclosed its initial list of listed securities or specific launch arrangements.

Meanwhile, regulatory progress in Asia is also accelerating. South Korea's Financial Services Commission published on October 1, 2026, amendments to the subordinate regulations under the Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act and the Act on Electronic Registration of Stocks and Bonds, paving the way for securities tokenization after the two parent laws take effect on February 4, 2027. The amendments expand the scope of tokenizable assets from fractional investment products to stocks, bonds, and funds, and require that distributed ledgers be shared by at least two account management entities together with the Korea Securities Depository. The public comment period runs from October 2 to November 11, after which, following FSC approval and government legislative review, the rules will take effect on February 4, 2027, in sync with the parent laws. International legal experts believe that if these rules are implemented as scheduled, they could accelerate the development of unified cross-border standards for tokenized products.

The integration between Backpack and CircuitAI is a direct response to the various regulatory application trends in global financial markets over the past quarter. As technical infrastructure matures and the regulatory framework gradually becomes clearer, the further development of such products will depend heavily on the stance of regulators. In particular, decisions to be made by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and other international regulators at meetings in November 2026 will become a key variable determining whether tokenized stocks can achieve widespread adoption. This concerns not only the fate of a single product but may also reshape the boundary between traditional securities and decentralized finance.
