HK Stock Movement | MEITU (01357) Rises Nearly 4% as AI Snow Feature Goes Viral Overseas, Long-Term Growth Prospects Remain Strong

Stock News11-25

MEITU (01357) gained nearly 4%, rising 3.65% to HK$8.52 by the time of writing, with a trading volume of HK$373 million. The surge follows the global popularity of MEITU's "AI Snow" feature in its photo-editing app. As of November 13, the app topped the overall download charts in 29 countries and regions, including Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Russia, Turkey, South Korea, and Kazakhstan, while ranking first in the photo & video category in 119 markets, such as the UK, Norway, and Sweden.

Dongfang Securities noted that MEITU's continuous AI feature upgrades and creative innovations have strengthened its global appeal. The firm believes MEITU, as a specialized player in aesthetic-driven tools, will benefit from advancements in foundational AI models, enhancing both efficiency and output quality—contrary to market concerns about general AI models replacing vertical applications.

Guojin Securities highlighted that AI-era tools like MEITU, with deep "functional depth + mass recognition," retain enduring value. The brokerage sees ample long-term growth potential, driven by overseas expansion and productivity tools, which could unlock a second growth curve. Increased MAU from global expansion and productivity features, alongside AI-driven premium services and user base optimization, may lift ARPU. MEITU's "functional depth + social attributes" could also push its paid user ratio beyond 10%.
