China Mobile Limited disclosed in its Monthly Return to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that 11.77 million new Hong Kong-listed ordinary shares were issued in April 2026, lifting total outstanding Hong Kong shares to 20.77 billion. No treasury shares were held or cancelled during the period. The company confirmed that it continued to meet the 5 per cent minimum public-float requirement for PRC issuers with multiple listings.
All newly issued shares resulted from employee option exercises under two share-option schemes approved on 20 May 2020:
• Scheme A (exercise price HK$55.00) generated 2.19 million shares, reducing outstanding options under this plan to 74.43 million. • Scheme B (exercise price HK$51.60) contributed 9.59 million shares, while 68,420 options lapsed. Outstanding options under this plan stood at 429.29 million at month-end.
Proceeds from option exercises totalled HK$615.02 million (US$78.70 million). Following these movements, China Mobile’s aggregate issued share capital across both markets comprised 20.77 billion Hong Kong shares and 902.77 million Shanghai-listed RMB shares, with no change in the latter during April.
