Prysmian Group has entered into a long-term optical cable supply agreement with Molex, a company under the Koch Industries group, according to an official announcement. The contract has a maximum duration of ten years and a total potential value of up to €5.5 billion, including an advance payment of €550 million. The supplied optical cables are designated for internal deployment within data centers.
This collaboration with Molex represents one of a series of new agreements and commercial partnership initiatives signed by Prysmian targeting hyperscale cloud providers and data center infrastructure service providers. The company projects that, based on its 2025 business scale, this new series of partnerships will collectively generate cumulative incremental order value exceeding €10 billion by the year 2035.
