Budweiser Brewing Company APAC Limited (01876) has announced its financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reporting revenue of $3.171 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%.
Profit attributable to equity holders of Budweiser APAC reached $473 million, up 15.6% compared to the same period last year, with basic earnings per share of 3.57 cents.
Total sales volume for the first half of 2026 declined by 2.2%, impacted by a weak market in China, but this was partially offset by strong performances in South Korea and India. In the second quarter of 2026, the company's overall performance continued to be challenged by its China operations.
The company lagged behind a weaker industry performance affected by adverse weather and persistent downturns in the on-trade channel, which further pressured revenue and profitability. However, sustained growth momentum in South Korea and India partially mitigated these headwinds, with Budweiser APAC gaining market share in South Korea. In India, favorable industry growth dynamics, increasing market share, and robust expansion of the premium and above-premium portfolio drove double-digit volume growth.
CEO and Co-Chairman Jan Craps commented: "During the first half of 2026, our business in China continued to be impacted by a slower-than-expected recovery. We are now actively focusing on initiatives to enhance business performance, including sustained investment in flagship brands and innovation, strengthening execution capabilities, and expanding our presence in the off-trade channel. Our markets in South Korea and India continue to build momentum, supported by strong commercial execution and brand equity, which are driving continuous market share gains in both regions."
