On the evening of June 16th, a special event of the 2026 Beijing CBD Forum Annual Meeting—the inaugural forum on media support for commercial development and business environment improvement—was held in Beijing. At the event, Yin Yuan, Deputy District Mayor of Beijing's Chaoyang District Government, stated that the Beijing CBD Forum has become a significant platform for the city's deep engagement in international dialogue and proactive leadership in open cooperation, as well as a crucial support for the capital's function as an international exchange center. This event marks the first time the CBD Forum has incorporated the perspective of "media support," focusing on the core issue of the business environment to promote tripartite dialogue among government, enterprises, and media, representing a highly innovative exploration.

Currently, Chaoyang District is fully committed to building itself into the primary area for carrying the functions of an international consumption center city. It focuses on three major tasks: constructing a distinctive consumption landscape, accelerating the leap in consumption capacity, and promoting the integrated development of culture, commerce, tourism, sports, and exhibitions. The goal is to create a "24-hour vibrant zone" characterized by district-wide linkage, all-day excitement, and multi-industry integration.

Simultaneously, as one of the most open and economically vibrant areas in the city, Beijing CBD has preliminarily established an international-level commercial district with a scale of hundreds of billions of yuan. Its card-based consumption has ranked first in the city for three consecutive years. The number of regional headquarters of multinational corporations has reached 125, and foreign-funded enterprises exceed 10,000, accounting for over 30% of the city's total. In the latest ranking of the "Global Business District Attractiveness Report," Beijing CBD rose to sixth globally, maintaining its position as second in Asia and first in China.

These robust data points serve as a clear testament to Chaoyang District's efforts to create a world-class business environment. They also underpin its confidence in attracting global high-end resources and stimulating the vitality of market entities. In the relay race to optimize the business environment, the perspectives and coverage of the media remain a vital force in activating regional commercial potential and advancing the construction of Beijing as an international consumption center city.
