Loop Capital stated that Apple is positioned for strong growth with the launch of its most affordable laptop ever. The investment firm reiterated its Buy rating on Apple while maintaining a $325 price target for the stock. The Neo model starts at $599, nearly half the price of some of Apple's high-end laptops. Apple's new 13-inch MacBook Air with the M5 chip starts at $1,099, while the 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Max chip begins at $3,899. These laptops were introduced during the company's three-day hardware-focused event last month. Loop Capital analysts wrote: "Simply put, we project initial sales of 3 million units for the Neo in 2026, and we are adjusting product gross margins—from 40.7% in the December quarter and 37.7% in the March quarter (following 33.0%-34.0% in the June quarter)—to 35.0% for the September quarter."
