Market Close: Most Chinese Futures Contracts Decline, Bitumen and Crude Oil Fall Over 4%

On September 23, 2026, the majority of major domestic futures contracts saw declines, with bitumen and SC crude oil dropping by more than 4%. Meanwhile, ethylene glycol (EG) fell nearly 4%, and short fibers, methanol, and lithium carbonate each declined by over 3%, with bottle-grade chips slipping close to 3%.

On the upside, No. 20 rubber rose by more than 3%, rubber gained over 2%, and synthetic rubber increased nearly 2%. Container shipping on the European route climbed more than 1%, while nickel, industrial silicon, platinum, and apples each advanced by roughly 1%.
