In recent years, Jinan City in Shandong Province has continuously pushed forward with improving industrial chains, strengthening technological innovation, and expanding application scenarios, driving the accelerated clustering of its robotics industry.
In the first seven months of this year, Jinan's robotics industry generated operating revenue of 15.66 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.5%.
As a advanced manufacturing base in northern China and one of the first batch of China's software cities, Jinan has basically built a robotics industry ecosystem covering upstream core components, midstream robot body manufacturing, and downstream system integration applications.
Among these, Jinan High-tech Zone has coordinated its layout across three major categories: industrial robots, special robots, and humanoid robots.
The well-developed industrial ecosystem provides support for enterprises to tackle key technological challenges and promote the transformation of innovative achievements.
At present, the city's robotics industry has 3 national-level industrial design centers, and 59 products (sets) have been recognized as first-of-their-kind major technical equipment.
The robot operating system "Jumang," independently developed by Shandong Alexander Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., can achieve sub-millisecond real-time response and has been applied in more than 200 enterprises in gold, glass fiber, and other industries; the third-generation welding robot "Kaituo" independently developed by Jinan Heavy Industry Group has overcome the problem of cumulative deviation in multi-layer and multi-pass welding of ultra-thick plates, with a one-time flaw detection pass rate exceeding 99%.
While consolidating its technological foundation, Jinan is accelerating the extension and supplementation of its chain and attracting projects.
Targeting weak links in the industrial chain, Jinan has precisely introduced supporting enterprises, forming a virtuous cycle of "leading enterprises driving supporting enterprises, and supporting enterprises promoting leading enterprises," and has facilitated the landing of 16 projects including Shanghai Qinglang and Beijing Guanglun Intelligent.
At present, the city has 115 projects in planning and reserve, with a total planned investment of 12.996 billion yuan.
Expanding application scenarios is an important lever for promoting technological iteration and achievement transformation in the robotics industry.
In July this year, Jinan released its first batch of 318 robot application scenarios to the whole society, covering 12 categories including agriculture, manufacturing, and construction.
At the same time, Jinan actively builds supply-demand matching platforms, organizes enterprises to conduct scenario matching, and helps with product promotion and application.
Yu Haitian, Deputy Secretary of the Jinan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, stated that next, Jinan will adhere to scenario-driven development, promote better alignment of robot products with industrial needs, deepen the promotion of "robot+" applications, continuously improve the industrial chain and industrial ecosystem, and accelerate the construction of a robotics industry development cluster in the Yellow River Basin.
