Stock News14:47

Autonomous driving concept stocks showed strong performance in today's session. As of writing, Zhejiang Shibao (01057) surged 16.88% to HK$7.20, Nexteer (01316) rose 3.88% to HK$8.03, Joyson Electronics (00699) gained 2.61% to HK$17.70, and Minth Group (00425) increased 1.49% to HK$46.22. The catalyst came from Tesla's announcement on February 18 that the first Cybercab vehicle rolled off the production line at its Texas Gigafactory, marking a critical step toward commercial deployment of Robotaxi services. This development is expected to lay the foundation for large-scale expansion of autonomous taxi operations. According to an analysis by Oriental Securities, with the physical vehicle now completed, the Cybercab is highly likely to follow its established timeline for mass production and subsequent production ramp-up. Tesla's production plan indicates that Cybercab output will follow an S-curve growth pattern, with long-term production targets expected to surpass the combined output of all other Tesla models. Automotive component suppliers entering Tesla's Cybercab supply chain are anticipated to see sustained incremental business opportunities.
