To rigorously combat illegal activities involving the production and sale of counterfeit and substandard meat products, and to regulate the online catering business order, a joint special inspection was recently conducted in Beidaihe New Area, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. The inspection team, led by the deputy director of the Beidaihe New Area Management Committee, conducted on-site research and checks at key locations. The inspection involved personnel from the Beidaihe New Area Branch of the Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, the Public Security Bureau, the Social Development Bureau, and the Health Industry Innovation Promotion Bureau. The joint team visited online catering service providers, health certificate processing agencies, and livestock and poultry farms within the jurisdiction. Based on the operational characteristics of different sectors, the inspection focused on critical areas and key processes to conduct a comprehensive risk assessment of food safety hazards, aiming to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the two specialized rectification campaigns. At online catering units, the team inspected kitchen processing operations, employee health management, cleaning and disinfection procedures for utensils, and storage conditions. At health certificate processing agencies, the focus was on verifying the standardization of certification procedures, the completeness of medical examination items, and the authenticity of examination results to prevent food safety risks arising from employees working while ill. At livestock and poultry farms, checks were conducted on the implementation of epidemic prevention systems, the standardized use of feed and veterinary drugs, and the establishment of quarantine inspection and product traceability systems. Moving forward, relevant departments will further intensify inspections and law enforcement efforts to address issues related to counterfeit meat products and online food safety. A "zero-tolerance" stance will be maintained against violations to firmly safeguard public food safety.
