CMON Highlights Lower Resource Use, Strengthened Governance in 2025 ESG Report

CMON Limited released its ninth Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, detailing performance for the year ended 31 December 2025. Key points are as follows:

• Governance and Risk Oversight The board retains ultimate responsibility for ESG matters, convening at least one dedicated climate session annually. Independent consultant Riskory Consultancy Limited supported this year’s reporting and carbon-neutrality planning. No cases of non-compliance were identified across product safety, anti-corruption or employment-related regulations.

• Decarbonisation and Environmental Metrics – Total greenhouse-gas emissions rose 6.9 % to 42.97 tonnes CO₂e, as lower Scope 1 emissions (-81.6 %) were offset by a 23.6 % increase in Scope 2 electricity-related emissions. – Energy use fell 10.4 % to 81.34 MWh, but intensity climbed to 2.62 MWh per employee after headcount reduction. – Water consumption dropped 84.5 % to 189 m³; non-hazardous waste fell 71.9 % to 1.34 tonnes. – Packaging material usage declined 87.1 % to 1.52 tonnes. – Sixteen Certified Emission Reductions (16 t CO₂e) were voluntarily cancelled under the UN CDM scheme; CMON also endorsed Hong Kong’s Energy Saving Charter.

• Climate Scenario Analysis Using NGFS pathways, management evaluated transition and physical risks through 2030 and 2050. Key exposures include repair costs from extreme weather and potential increases in carbon pricing; mitigation strategies centre on compliance monitoring and energy-efficiency projects.

• Supply Chain and Product Responsibility The company managed 17 suppliers, all of whom underwent performance assessments covering quality, environmental and social criteria. No product recalls occurred, and safety labels continued on all packaging. Intellectual-property and data-privacy controls remained in force with no reported breaches.

• Human Capital – Total workforce decreased to 42 from 81. – Turnover rose sharply, especially in Singapore (153.8 %) and the United States (180.0 %). – Average training hours were 0.3 for men and 8.2 for women; senior management received 1.0 hour on average. – No work-related injuries or fatalities were recorded for the third consecutive year.

• Community Engagement The group maintained involvement in local initiatives and has committed to joining at least one climate-related activity each year.

CMON states that it will continue refining emissions data, expanding anti-corruption training to all staff and exploring additional resource-efficiency measures in forthcoming reporting periods.
