LANZHOU – Eighteen agricultural products from Gansu Province, including Jingning apples, Dunhuang lamb, and Liujiaxia salmon, have been included in the third batch of the 2025 National List of Specialty Agricultural Products released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs' Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Center.
The newly listed products span multiple categories such as fruits, vegetables, livestock, medicinal herbs, aquatic products, and specialty grains, showcasing the province's diverse, high-quality, and distinctive agricultural offerings. The selected items include Pingchuan buckwheat, Jingtai early crisp pears, Gangu apples, Zhangjiachuan astragalus, Zhangjiachuan peppercorns, Dunhuang lamb, Minle potatoes, Liangzhou tomatoes, Gulang wolfberries, Tianzhu snow peas, Tianzhu lamb, Jingning apples, Huachi honey, Kangle mushrooms, Kangle beef steak, Liujiaxia salmon, Tangwang apricots, and Lintan mugwort.
To date, Gansu has a total of 137 products on the national list, with expanding regional and industrial coverage. These premium products not only enhance the reputation of the "Ganwei" brand but also serve as a key driver for rural revitalization and farmer income growth.
The province will continue to strengthen quality and safety oversight, refine the cultivation, application, and management mechanisms for specialty agricultural products, and provide guidance to certified producers to ensure full-process quality control and brand integrity. Additionally, efforts will be made to promote the "Ganwei Out of Gansu" and "Ganwei Goes Global" initiatives, helping more high-quality agricultural products from the region reach domestic and international markets, thereby supporting the province's agricultural modernization.
