Data from the past 24 hours, compiled by a market pricing monitor, shows that on August 25th, the 11 major baijiu products in China experienced nine declines and two holds, with significant downward pressure across the board and no price increases recorded.
In terms of declines, Feitian Moutai dropped 2 yuan to an average retail price of 1,775 yuan, marking its fifth consecutive day of slight decreases. Premium Moutai fell 2 yuan to 2,460 yuan, extending a retreat of over ten days after an eight-session rally in early-to-mid August, now entering a downward channel. Wuliangye Puwu 8th Generation slipped 2 yuan to 808 yuan, consolidating at elevated levels following earlier corrections. Wuliangye 1618 decreased 5 yuan to 821 yuan, with its price center notably shifting lower. Qinghua Fen 20 dropped 4 yuan to 392 yuan, failing to break through the 400 yuan threshold. Guojiao 1573 declined 6 yuan to 879 yuan, settling into a range-bound adjustment. Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ fell 5 yuan to 615 yuan, halting a four-session winning streak and retreating moderately from its monthly peak. Gujing Tribute 20 plunged 9 yuan to 548 yuan, ending four consecutive days of strength and highlighting growing correction pressure. Xijiu Junpin dropped 3 yuan to 629 yuan, pulling back again after a brief recovery.
On the stable side, Qinghua Lang maintained its average retail price at 692 yuan, trading in a low range, while Shuijing Jiannanchun held steady at 406 yuan.
The combined terminal retail value of the 11 products weakened sharply today, with most items experiencing varying degrees of pullback. If one bottle of each product were bundled and sold together, the total price would be 10,025 yuan, down 38 yuan from the previous day and marking a 12-day low. Whether the total can hold above the 10,000 yuan mark in the coming sessions remains a key focus.
Daily pricing data is sourced from approximately 200 collection points distributed across major regions nationwide, including designated dealers, social distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw sampling data reflects actual transaction retail prices from the past 24 hours, aiming to provide an objective, scientific, and fully traceable reference for market prices of major baijiu products.
Since the official iMoutai platform began selling Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle on New Year's Day (raised to 1,539 yuan on March 31st and further to 1,639 yuan on July 18th), and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle from January 9th (raised to 2,359 yuan on May 16th), this new channel has exerted a growing magnetic pull on the average retail prices of both products. The daily price calculations follow a volume-weighted rule, incorporating confirmed transaction data into the average retail pricing for these two items.
In related industry news, on August 24th, the Hurun Research Institute released the 2026 Hurun China Brand List, featuring 26 baijiu brands, four fewer than last year. The top three alcohol brands were Kweichow Moutai, Wuliangye, and Guojiao 1573, while China Jingjiu made its debut on the list as a new entrant.
