New Community Hub Breaks Ground in Gaozhao Subdistrict

Deep News03-26

Recent developments in urban growth for Xiuzhou District's Gaozhao Subdistrict have reached a new milestone. The Jiuli Neighborhood Center, a comprehensive facility integrating convenience retail, dining options, and recreational activities, has achieved significant progress in its investment and construction phase. Essential services and retailers, including Starbucks, Luckin Coffee, Guming Tea, Haoxianglai, Deyiju, and the Gaozhao Farmers' Market, have officially signed leases. Additionally, leisure-oriented businesses such as a KTV venue, foot massage spa, billiards hall, esports internet cafe, and a fitness center have confirmed their intent to open locations.

"Overall pre-leasing for the project has reached 70%, with a planned grand opening scheduled for October this year," said Zhang Jimin, the head of the operating company, Jiaxing Jiuwu Commercial Management. "The goal is to create a comprehensive, walkable lifestyle hub where convenience and community warmth coexist."

The Jiuli project is developed by the Jiaxing High-Tech Group and fully managed by Jiaxing Jiuwu Commercial Management. It represents a key public amenity and commercial initiative for Gaozhao Subdistrict, aligning with Xiuzhou District's strategic westward urban expansion. Since launching its leasing campaign, the project has quickly attracted interest from major brands and business operators across Jiaxing and the wider Yangtze River Delta region, becoming a notable new feature in western Xiuzhou's commercial landscape.

Regarding the name "Jiuli," Zhang Jimin explained that the Gaojiaqiao area is home to a large population of industrial workers from the high-tech zone, many of whom work standard nine-to-five schedules. The name "Jiuli" was chosen to reflect a focus on serving this core demographic, aiming to make the neighborhood center a convenient destination for workers and local residents after hours and on weekends.

"This is a long-awaited community improvement for local residents," said Ma Jianwei, Party Branch Secretary and Village Committee Director of Gaojiaqiao Village in Gaozhao Subdistrict, expressing his enthusiasm for the project's realization. "The Gaojiaqiao area is surrounded by numerous residential communities, including Gaoqiao Garden, Hongwen Garden, Jinggang Garden, as well as Doumen Garden and Huoju Garden in Xincheng Town, totaling over 10,000 households. Until now, daily shopping and services have been a significant challenge for these residents."

Ma Jianwei noted that the area previously lacked substantial commercial infrastructure. Residents seeking fresh groceries, specialty dining, or everyday leisure activities had to travel to downtown Jiaxing or Xincheng Town, making cross-district shopping a common but inconvenient necessity.

"The planning and construction of Jiuli directly addresses these core living needs," Ma Jianwei added. "From the farmers' market and fresh food retail to restaurants and beverage shops, and from telecommunications services to leisure and entertainment, it encompasses all the essential services residents use daily. This neighborhood center is not merely a commercial complex; it is a community-based service station for the people."

The inclusion of a farmers' market will allow residents to purchase fresh ingredients close to home, while the arrival of well-known brands will broaden daily consumer choices. Leisure facilities like the fitness center, KTV, and foot massage spa will enable residents to enjoy relaxing activities without traveling far, achieving true one-stop satisfaction for lifestyle needs.

Construction and leasing for the Jiuli project continue to advance steadily according to plan. The operator is actively engaging with remaining prospective brands, maintaining strict standards for quality to ensure all finalized tenants meet the practical needs of the community. From daily necessities to leisure pursuits, Jiuli's comprehensive tenant mix clearly outlines a new standard of living for residents in western Xiuzhou.

Simultaneously, interior fit-out work is accelerating. Construction teams are focused on finishing interior decorations and facility installations, prioritizing both quality and efficiency to ensure a solid foundation for the scheduled October opening.

As a crucial component in enhancing Gaozhao Subdistrict's commercial infrastructure, the launch of Jiuli effectively fills a gap for high-quality community retail in western Xiuzhou. It establishes a multi-tiered commercial service system combining essential amenities, quality consumption options, and leisure experiences, allowing residents to tangibly feel the convenience and community focus of having comprehensive services nearby.

It is anticipated that when Jiuli officially opens in October, it will not only add a new landmark for community commerce in western Xiuzhou but also ensure that the benefits of the district's westward urban development reach every resident. This eagerly awaited neighborhood center, with its walkable, all-inclusive concept, will foster a blend of convenience and warmth deep within the community. It will inject new vitality into Xiuzhou's urban core development and sketch a brighter, more convenient living picture for tens of thousands of local residents.
