On August 21, the successful placement of the initial precast beam marked a significant milestone for the Quanhui Wharf Project, undertaken by China State Construction Harbour Engineering Group Co., Ltd. This achievement signals the project's official transition into the concentrated construction phase for its upper structure, laying a solid foundation for the wharf's timely completion and operational launch.
The project comprises a total of 2,086 precast components, spanning multiple functional zones including the coal conveyor trestle, approach bridge, and the wharf itself. During the construction process, the project team employed a bridge erection machine with side-feeding beam technology for the installation of precast components—a technique that effectively adapts to the on-site conditions of the wharf and significantly enhances erection efficiency.
The successful installation of the first beam has validated the reliability of the construction methodology and the soundness of the engineering plan, providing a practical benchmark for the subsequent large-scale installation of precast elements. Currently, the project is capitalizing on the optimal construction window, using the inaugural beam installation as a standard to accelerate the erection of upper-structure precast components across the wharf.
The project department is orchestrating the processing and installation of various precast components, strictly enforcing quality and safety controls over over-water operations, and scientifically coordinating the seamless integration of multiple workstreams to ensure the efficient and orderly advancement of the coal wharf's construction.
