CEB BANK (HKEX: 06818) has announced the completion of a significant bond issuance.
Following approvals from the National Financial Regulatory Administration and the People's Bank of China, the bank has successfully issued "CEB BANK Co., Ltd. 2026 Perpetual Capital Bonds (Second Tranche)" on the national interbank bond market.
The bonds were priced on June 12, 2026, with the issuance finalized on June 16, 2026.
The total issuance size amounts to RMB 20 billion. The bonds carry an initial coupon rate of 1.99% for the first five years, which will be reset every five years thereafter. The issuer retains a conditional call option at each interest payment date from the fifth year onwards.
The capital raised from this issuance will be used, in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory approvals, to supplement the bank's Additional Tier 1 capital.
