On July 28th, a specialized training program for "Specialized and Sophisticated" (S&S) SMEs and "Little Giant" enterprises, part of the "Together for Enterprise Benefit" initiative in Lanzhou for 2026, officially commenced.
More than 170 representatives from local S&S enterprises and those in the "Little Giant" reserve cultivation pool gathered for systematic, focused lessons. The training features a structured curriculum delivered by a professional team comprising business experts from the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, university scholars, and seasoned industry instructors. The program balances theoretical depth with practical applicability.
Based on the current development status of Lanzhou's SMEs, the training tackles key pain points such as application bottlenecks, innovation deficiencies, tax management, and compliance operations. It establishes a tiered, targeted, and pragmatic full-process guidance system, fully implementing a gradient cultivation plan for high-quality SMEs. This guides businesses toward specializing, refining, differentiating, and innovating their development paths.
During the sessions, the teaching team systematically explained provincial S&S application requirements, procedural standards, and document-writing essentials to enterprises in the cultivation phase, breaking down policy information barriers and effectively boosting application success rates. Simultaneously, advanced coaching was provided for recognized S&S backbone enterprises, clarifying the certification standards and innovation pathways for national-level "Little Giant" companies. This helps these firms refine their strategic positioning, increase R&D investment, and strive for higher-level qualification, continuously stimulating endogenous innovation momentum and solidifying the city's industrial innovation foundation.
