On the 13th, it was learned from the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that the "2026 China Brand Value Evaluation Information Release" event, organized by the China Council for Brand Development and the Xinhua News Agency Brand Work Office, and hosted by the China Brand Magazine, was recently held in Deqing, Zhejiang. Eleven geographical indication agricultural products from the province, including Wuchang Rice, Jiamusi Rice, Dongning Black Fungus, Qing'an Rice, Fangzheng Rice, Tonghe Rice, Yanshou Rice, Jiusan Soybeans, Tailai Rice, Suihua Fresh Corn, and Baoqing Rice, have been honored on the "2026 China Brand Value Evaluation" regional brand list. The number of brands on the list ranks among the top in the country. Among the ten geographical indication rice brands that made the list this time, the province accounts for eight. Notably, Wuchang Rice has a brand value of 72.012 billion yuan, maintaining its position as the top geographical indication rice brand in the country for eleven consecutive years. The brand values of Jiamusi Rice, Qing'an Rice, Fangzheng Rice, and Tonghe Rice all exceed 10 billion yuan. Baoqing Rice is making its first appearance on the geographical indication brand list. Jiusan Soybeans is the only geographical indication soybean brand on the list, with a brand value of 7.711 billion yuan. It is understood that in recent years, leveraging its unique ecological environment, cold black soil, and advantages in green and organic production, the province has focused on increasing the supply of high-quality green agricultural products and improving product quality. Efforts have been made to establish production bases, enhance services, strengthen supervision, and build brands, leading to significant achievements in the development of the green food industry. Currently, the total number of "three products and one standard" products in the province has reached 3,878, including 168 geographical indication agricultural products. Over 470 enterprises are authorized to use these indications, with nearly half having obtained green or organic food certification. The province will continue to promote the upgrading of geographical indication agricultural products, explore their cultural heritage, tell their brand stories, and support the high-quality development of rural specialty industries.
